How to read confidence and limitations
Understand why a bounded observation can be useful without being certain or universal.
Confidence belongs to a finding
Confidence describes how strongly the required views and checks support one observation. It is not confidence in a person, identity or worth.
Photo quality changes what can be inferred
Pose, obstruction, lens distortion, filters and uneven lighting can lower confidence or prevent a category from being released.
Limitations travel with the result
A released finding should state what the system could not determine, which views were used and which contextual or demographic assumptions remain uncertain.
Low confidence should stop the pipeline
LEVEL automatically withholds uncertain results. A polished explanation must never replace missing evidence.
