What an identity-preserving preview should and should not change
A practical explanation of reversible edit scope, protected regions and illustrative-preview disclosure.
Reversible presentation scope
Allowed directions include hair styling, facial-hair outline, brow grooming, glasses, near-face colors, clothing and surface-level grooming presentation.
Protected identity
Bone structure, eye identity, nose identity, lip identity, jaw and chin structure, skin tone, ethnicity, apparent age, body size and fundamental proportions must remain unchanged.
Validation is more than resemblance
A production preview needs face-embedding similarity, landmark drift, protected-region comparison, skin-tone consistency, edit-mask containment, quality checks, bounded regeneration, and withholding when uncertain.
Illustration is not prediction
Even a validated preview communicates a plausible visual direction. It does not promise that products, habits, appointments or time will recreate the image.
